In line with Dr. Jean Narcisse Djaha’s focus on supporting the next generation of global leaders to maximize their circle of impact, The Next Young African Hero Fellowship Program offers a unique platform for rising leaders, innovative thinkers, and high-impact young leaders to grow with global leaders with exceptional accomplishments and realizations. Fellows learn to build authority, influence, drive impact, lead transformational change, and do social good for humanity.

The Next Young African Hero Fellowship Program is a leadership development and entrepreneurship development ecosystem consisting of rising leaders who are profoundly dedicated to serving their homes, communities, states, cities, and nations. With high-powered masterclass sessions and networking opportunities with our world-class coaches and mentors, GloballyTED Fellows become agents of change, impact, and transformation for the public good.

The Globally TED Next Young African Hero Fellowship Program is a virtual 10-month intensive transformational program designed to deepen the skill sets of aspiring young African authors, storytellers, and innovators from 15 countries. The Globally TED Fellows will receive professional capacity development, networking opportunities, coaching, and mentorship to collaborate with renowned minds, entrepreneurs, politicians, and internationally best-selling accomplished authors.

Through high-powered one-on-one exchanges and acceleration with world-renowned authors, executive leaders, educators, social impact leaders, storytellers, and journalists, fellows learn to harness the power of their creativity and innovation, creating growth opportunities in their fields and making a meaningful impact in their communities and nations.

Project Goals

The Globally TED Next Young African Hero Fellowship Program seeks to:

  • Power creative writing and thinking to shape the visions, missions, and perspectives of current and future generations of innovators, movers, shapers, and impact leaders worldwide.

  • Mobilize and empower young leaders to play a greater role in addressing society’s most pressing socio-economic challenges.

  • Train future leaders to explore what it means to be a servant leader at a moment where we need leadership more than ever to build a better and safer world, one where people from different backgrounds connect, build together, and have equal access to opportunity.

  • Create a platform for the next generation of cross-sector leaders to learn, grow, and thrive.

Candidates invited to apply must submit a resume, a brief statement of interest, and answers to several leadership assessment questions.

Provide 3 references: one personal, one professional, and one academic.

The GloballyTED Selection Committee will assess applications.

FELLOWSHIP APPLICATION DETAILS
Interview

The Selection Committee or the Fellowship Leadership will interview selected candidates. Each interview will last 25-45 minutes.

Selection

Selected participants in the fellowship program must meet all the program's expectations, including paying for it. In addition, payments made to this program are not refundable.
