About the Fellowship

The Global Greater Washington Social Impact Leadership Fellowship Program is a flagship initiative designed to empower emerging and established leaders committed to driving social transformation in the Greater Washington region and beyond. This fellowship cultivates visionary leadership, strategic collaboration, and global engagement to address pressing social challenges through innovation and impact.

Strategic Objectives

  • Develop Leadership Capacity: Equip fellows with advanced leadership skills to lead with integrity, empathy, and strategic vision.

  • Foster Cross-Sector Collaboration: Connect leaders from philanthropy, business, government, and civil society to co-create solutions.

  • Advance Social Innovation: Support initiatives that tackle systemic issues in education, health, equity, and sustainability.

  • Build Global Networks: Position Greater Washington as a hub for global social impact leadership.

Who Can Apply

  • Do you know who can apply?

    • Emerging and mid-career leaders in nonprofits, foundations, social enterprises, and corporate social responsibility roles.

    • Demonstrated commitment to social impact and community transformation.

    • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a relevant field.

Programme Structure

  • Program Structure

    • Duration: 12 months (Hybrid: In-person + Virtual)

    • Components:

      • Leadership Labs: Intensive workshops on strategy, governance, and innovation.

      • Global Impact Dialogues: Conversations with international thought leaders.

      • Mentorship & Coaching: Personalized guidance from senior executives and social impact pioneers.

      • Capstone Project: Fellows design and implement a high-impact initiative addressing a critical social challenge across the Global Greater Washington region.
